What should I do if I see “Permissions were not granted for this Genesys Cloud region”?

If you see the following notice in the Mediabriz extension settings:

"Mediabriz doesn't have access to this Genesys Cloud region yet."

the browser is not giving Mediabriz access to your Genesys Cloud region domains. Mediabriz gets this access when the extension is installed. The notice usually means the access was removed in the browser (on the extension's Details page, under Site access), or that a browser policy blocks it.

Grant access

Click Grant access in the notice, then select Allow. This works even when the extension is managed by your organization and the Save button shows Managed.

If the notice remains

Your organization may block extensions on some sites by policy. Contact your IT administrator. They need to add the four Genesys Cloud region hosts to the extension's runtime_allowed_hosts policy. See Host Permission Issues.

Custom domains

If a notice lists custom domains instead ("Permissions aren't granted for the following domains: ..."), click Grant access and select Allow. Do this once per browser profile, including for domains your organization adds by policy. If a custom domain is blocked by policy, your IT administrator adds it to runtime_allowed_hosts. See Custom Domain Issues.

Note: After access is allowed, refresh Genesys Cloud or your application page and check the Mediabriz extension settings again.
