Why can’t I find a file I sent to the customer in the Media Gallery?

If you cannot find a file you sent in the Media Gallery, it was likely shared as a link rather than as an attached media file.

When content is sent as a link, it is not saved as a media item and therefore does not appear in the Media Gallery.

You can still find the message in the Conversation Timeline, where all messages are displayed.

To locate it faster, use the Timeline filter and select messages that contain links.
